McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii Employee Advances to Voice of McDonald’s National Semifinals
HONOLULU – A McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii employee with an amazing voice could have a shot at winning $25,000. But first, Jane Guillermo needs the public’s votes to advance to the next round of the fourth annual “Voice of McDonald’s” global singing competition.
After submitting a performance video and competing against McDonald’s employees from across the nation, Guillermo, a crew person from McDonald’s of Wahiawa, has been named a Voice of McDonald’s national semifinalist.
“I was so surprised to hear that I made the semifinals and hope I’ll make it to the next round,” said Jane Guillermo. “Voice of McDonald’s has helped me to share my voice with many others, which is so exciting, and I am honored to represent McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii.”
Members of the public can vote at www.voiceofmcdonalds.com from November 1 to November 30. If Guillermo is among the top three online vote-getters, she will be named a U.S. finalist on November 15 and will win a trip to the McDonald’s 2012 Worldwide Convention in Orlando, Fla., April 23 – 26, to compete with the best McDonald’s singers from around the world for top global honors, including a $25,000 grand prize.
“The Voice of McDonald’s competition is a celebration of our talented employees,” said Melanie Okazaki, marketing manager of McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii, “We are so proud of Jane’s achievement and hope everyone in Hawaii will join us in supporting her by casting a vote online.”
Voice of McDonald’s is a worldwide contest to discover, recognize and reward the most talented singers among the more than 1.6 million employees working in McDonald’s restaurants across the globe. The fourth Voice of McDonald’s competition is proving to be bigger and better than ever, with more U.S. entries than the previous three programs.
